Intimacy ~ In to me see

Through our connections with other people we can see every detail of ourselves.

Relationships help us to see the real source of our pain, loneliness, frustration, and of course get a glimpse into the potential of unconditional love…if we allow it.

In our relationships we operate from the examples set in the foundations of our upbringing and the environment we are nurtured…Relationships are designed to not turn out the way we think they should, because they are meant to make us grow… in the most beautiful and yet the most challenging ways.

Most relationships start with excitement and optimism, yet as time goes by our real unconfronted needs and fears usually begin to surface if they aren’t dealt with. Insecurities, jealousy, anger and resentments are brought to the surface and if couples lack the tools to communicate through it, individuals will go on to experience the same things no matter which partner they are with.

We are more than our bad behaviour…many people are still little kids inside hurting and we can all act out in our relationships from a place of pain of what we lacked as children…

It no excuse…but we must find the moment to question…how do I become more than what I didn’t have?

Maybe the mirror is more useful than we realise…
